Organised Scum

Despite their almost complete absence from social media and sonically-misleading name, Organised Scum have already received support in the UK from the likes of NME, Drowned in Sound, The Line of Best Fit and BBC 6Music, and from PRS for Music Foundation. Organised Scum released their debut EP on 2nd December 2016. With comparisons to Mac Demarco, Blur and XTC, and recent gigs taking them from London to New York, this is definitely a band to watch.

“Employing a folk-driven indie rock backdrop, [they] specialise in shambolic, absurdist fare… Frontman Tom Duggins… sounds uncannily like [Damon] Albarn, spinning the same types of everyday life absurdist narratives as can be found on The Great Escape, propelled along on a Kinks-ian lope glazed over with Pavement-like fuzz. It’s smart, crafty, lazy, and stoopid all rolled up in a nice delectable three-minute Matzah ball.” (The Line of Best Fit)
